Programme Manager - ZOA South Sudan

ZOA South Sudan is an International Christian Non-Governmental organisation for Humanitarian and Rehabilitation Assistance. Our mandate is to assist displaced people and returnees who are affected by warfare or natural disaster. We operate in fourteen countries in Africa and Asia. ZOA is looking for a Programme Manager South Sudan. The post is a senior management position, and South Sudanese nationals are strongly encouraged to apply. Job location: Central Equatoria State / Jonglei State Starting date: 1st November 2012 Closing date: 5th  October 2012 Purpose of the position: The Programme Manager is responsible for the integral management of a ZOA Programme in Central Equatoria State / Jonglei State, South Sudan. The Programme Manager is a member of the National Management Team and reports to the Country Director of South Sudan. Tasks and responsibilities: Overall Management of a ZOA South Sudan program in Central Equatoria and / or Jonglei State. Membership of the ZOA South Sudan Management Team and contribution to national planning. Formulation and implementation of the Programme Plan Project Cycle management, including formulation, budgeting, integration with programme planning, writing, monitoring and reporting within the programme area (donor management and fundraising should be done by CD). Human Resource Management for programme staff. Maintaining relationships with all relevant actors in programme area. Supervision and control of the administrative and financial programme organisation Participate in country wide programme and knowledge development. Relevant security management responsibilities.

Requirement: Being a Christian adhering to the Christian identity of ZOA. The candidate is expected to support the vision and mission of ZOA. Knowledge/experience: Masters Degree in Agriculture or Livelihoods or related area At least three years field experience in a development country Supervisory / management experience in a similar post experience in Project Cycle Management Good spoken and written command of English Skills/attitude: Command of operations Analytical Organisational sensitivity Cooperation Planning and organizing Participative leadership Flexibility and adaptability Interpersonal and cross cultural sensitivity Able to work under pressures and meet deadlines Able to work in a sometimes fluid and insecure environment.
