Research and Communications Specialist - Washington, D.C


While under the general direction of the VP Government Affairs and Manager, Member Services, the Research and Communications Specialist will support our mission of building a global credit union community by providing support for the Government Affairs, Member Services and CEO departments. This position will prepare reports, conduct surveys, implement forecasting and trends analysis.

In an effort to fulfill our strategic purpose of expanding Membership, this position will support and maintain a clearinghouse of information regarding key strategic issues, monitor usage, and maintain documents within the member resource center.

Further support includes: researching, writing, and editing white papers, policy positions, trends and strategic issues along with participating in management meetings as the recording secretary. Additionally, represent World Council's Washington, D.C. office to donors, supporters, and country officials with courtesy and discretion.

Qualified candidates must possess BA/BS degree, previous experience in Communications or International Relations, and fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak and translate) along with the ability to handle confidential information as required. Annual travel of up to 45 days, both International and domestic, will be expected.
