Salary: £26,846 – £31,074 per annum inc
The appointment will be made at the lower end of the salary scale.
This is a fixed term post of 11 months to cover maternity leave.
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is at the forefront of higher education fundraising in the UK. The School completed a £100 million campaign at the end of 2007 and has continued to attract significant philanthropic funding since that time.
As the Alumni Relations Officer you will: deliver and coordinate print and online communications aspects of the Alumni Relations programme using the online alumni community Houghton Street Online, and online social media, including creating and uploading content. Manage the LSE's network of alumni special interest groups and key alumni volunteer leaders on the LSE Alumni Association Executive Committee, providing full communications and events support. Manage the Alumni Relations team’s relationships with academic departments and centres, student societies, including liaising with heads of department, departmental managers, Students’ Union sabbatical officers and providing communications and events advice.
As the successful candidate you must have experience of managing volunteers within a charity or non for profit organisation, experience of communicating and developing relationships with a wide variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and across varying levels of seniority, be used to working with independence and good judgement and experience of successfully managing multiple relationships with competing demands.
