Description
ROLE OUTLINE
We are looking for a motivated, progressive, versatile utility consultant. The successful candidate will be a good communicator and excellent engaging with clients in order to understand their bespoke needs and deliver timely solutions.

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering services to the residential and commercial developer markets and also deliver additional value on major infrastructure projects; these services will cover pre-planning risk and cost assessment, through to the commissioning and adoption of new water, wastewater and energy assets on site. The successful candidate will understand the utility connections market, NRSWA and be a proven specialist in the design and procurement of water, wastewater and energy networks.

The WYG Utilities and Energy team is fully embedded in the pre-engineering, design and procurement of district and community energy. Any experience of the technical and-or economic appraisal of low and zero-carbon energy networks would be valuble.

The successful candidate will provide leadership within the Utilities team and guide less experienced colleagues in the art of utility network procurement. The successful candidate will be a proven project manager and be able to understand and manage project finances.

  • Setting and reviewing objectives, targets and performance of a large team or department

  • Management of the day-to-day work of the department or specialism

  • Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Considerable proven experience in chosen field
  • Management experience
  • Detailed knowledge of management tools and techniques
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and its application
  • Effective operation and development of management systems for quality, financial and project controls
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Relevant professional qualification for specialist roles
  • Degree
  • Chartered status or equivalent qualifications
  • Flexible and versatile
  • Team player
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Take responsibility for accurate delivery of own tasks
  • IT literate and proficient use of standard Microsoft Office software package
  • Driving licence
    • Suitability for security clearance is essential
