The Organisation
We’ve been a key investor in Egypt for the last 20 years helping to develop the country’s natural gas industry. Thanks to our role as one of country’s leading foreign investors, we account for 40 per cent of Egypt’s gas production. Today, Egypt is a core country for BG Group a cornerstone of our Atlantic Basin LNG strategy.
Position Summary
To provide commercial support to all areas of Upstream Commercial Business and in particular dealing with the Upstream Sellers, and the Upstream Joint Venture. The focus is on handling the commercial analysis of existing projects, new projects and commercial deals.
Key Accountabilities
-     Monitor the daily/weekly production performance of BGE Assets and handling the weekly production meetings.
-     Responsible for monitoring the Pooling balance and forecast Grid take scenarios.
-     Review with Burullus on a regular basis feedgas forecasts into Grid & ELNG and ensure that it is provided to WDDM Partners on a monthly basis.
-     Regular reporting on commercial aspects of the business.
-     Responsible for updating the Upstream Agreements into the Commercial Obligation Management System (COMS).
-     Conduct ongoing analysis / sensitivities for commercial projects, business plan and sanction papers, prepare the Readiness Review presentations.
-     Liaison with the Exploration, Technical and Performance management teams on updating the Commercial Plans for new Concessions, obligations management and farm-in/ farm down opportunities.
-     Work on the planned unitisation projects.
-     Identifies and quantifies key factors in project value and shows the commercial viability of proposed projects.
-     Work on ad-hoc presentations for current/future commercial activities and business opportunities.
-     Supports the commercial team through both project work and commercial reviews.
-     Other responsibilities as required by the business.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
 -     The job holder has an analytical / reporting job, preferably in E&P companies
-     Economic/commercial background
-     Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent, Masters degree is preferable.
-     Understanding of economics, risk and forecasting
-     Good communication skills
-     Ability to work under pressure
-     Good analytic and diagnostic skills. Understanding of which real life business decisions are likely to impact value. Ability to extract insights from analysis to aid management decisions.
-     Proactive rather than reactive – can anticipate questions and problems
-     Focused on priorities
-     Fair understanding of technical aspects of Oil & Gas business gained through on the job experience and/or classroom training courses.
