To provide operational support to HQ managers on the full range of HR policies and practice, including recruitment, change management, employee relations, performance management, training & development compensation, benefits and communications. To process payroll for HQ and Swiss Internationally Recruited Staff employees in collaboration with other HR colleagues. To handle the administration of the employee life cycle at HQ. To improve the HQ HR systems, policies and procedures and contribute to their definition, elaboration and implementation.

Project Overview

Key Activity Areas
• To coach managers in people management with regard to staff recruitment for Headquarters and Affiliate Offices, staff development, staff performance management, staff issues and application of HR best practices. To advise on HQ Handbook and other policies.
• To listen to employees and represent their needs.
• To process payroll for HQ and Swiss Internationally Recruited Staff employees (100 staff), alternately with other HR colleagues using the Cresus programme.
• To handle the administration of the employee life cycle at HQ: on-boarding, social insurances, vacation and public holidays, leaving
• To improve the HQ HR systems, policies and procedures and contribute to their definition, elaboration and implementation.
• To participate in strategy creation for HQ and the field, to ensure HR practices are aligned with Medair’s strategy, to develop the organisation (skills, competencies, future resourcing). To provide strategic HR support in the areas of employee relations, compliance, diversity, performance management, HR analysis, process redesign, succession planning, organizational development and career development.
• To build capacity for change, to develop the teambuilding and the workgroup dynamics in the different departments in support to the managers. To develop and implement appropriate plans and projects in order to facilitate the culture changes within the organisation.
• To create infrastructure by developing the HR processes in the area of payroll, staff resourcing, performance management, staff and manager development, internal and external communication, reward policy, etc. To deliver cost effective administrative expertise.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma HR certificate
