Civil Engineer - Doha


Main Objectives 
Ø  Be a proactive team leader and manager in the overall development of the Engineering group in line with Sepam’s vision, mission, objectives and core values.
Ø  To assist in strategizing, planning and scheduling the engineering activities of the company.
Ø  To assist in implementing, reviewing and continually improving the department’s system, policies and procedures. 
Ø  Ensures the group has technical vision and remains updated with developments in technology. 
Areas of Responsibility 
Ø  Civil Engineering   
Specific Objectives  
Ø  Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience.
Ø  Responsible for layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout.
Ø  Provide drawing for our own designs and produce sketches to incorporate drawings by designers/drafters.
Ø  Provision of technical expertise, leadership and supervision of same discipline staff on Projects.
Ø  To ensure that Engineering is carried out in accordance with Sepam procedures and contractual requirements.
Ø  Approval of all technical decisions made by personnel under his / her supervision.
Ø  To assist in the development of engineering techniques in the Civil Group and bring to the attention of the Discipline Chief Engineer inadequacies in the groups capability for present and future projects.
Ø  Prepare technical aspects of contract documentation for civil and structural works.
Ø  Provide technical input to tender clarification and evaluation work.
Ø  To ensure all members of the team reporting to him/her liaise, co-operate with all members of the Project team.
Ø  To report to the Project Management and to the Discipline Chief Engineer on general progress including any problems, technical or otherwise, particularly in regard to man-hours, programme milestones and resources.
Ø  Preparation of cost and man-hour estimates for proposals.
Ø  Review scope of work and specifications for proposals.
Ø  Experience in tunnelling and railroads will be vital.
