1.0 Main Objectives
Ø Be a proactive team leader and manager in the overall development of the Engineering group in line with Sepam’s vision, mission, objectives and core values.
Ø To assist in strategizing, planning and scheduling the engineering activities of the company.
Ø To assist in implementing, reviewing and continually improving the department’s system, policies and procedures.
Ø Ensures the group has technical vision and remains updated with developments in technology.
2.0 Areas of Responsibility
Ø Electrical Engineering
3.0 Specific Objectives
Ø Perform constructability reviews
Ø Utilize project automation tools
Ø Prepare field designs in accordance with project agreements. Prepare field design changes.
Ø Design temporary construction facilities as required
Ø Implement project construction quality control requirements including inspection and testing of installations.
Ø Develop punchlists of incomplete work
Ø Prepare deviation reports to document nonconforming conditions as required
Ø Provide technical direction to superintendents and craft. Support field craft supervision.
Ø Implement design document distribution
Ø Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project
Ø Implement a preventative maintenance program for permanent plant project equipment
Ø Prepare field material requisitions for permanent plant materials as required
Ø Perform system/area turnovers including preparation of applicable as built documents and inspection records communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Ø Review material summary reports.
Ø Prepare major equipment material requisitions.
Ø Implements, manages, and controls systems, policies and procedures for the Engineering Department.
Ø Puts in place the standard operating procedures for all activities within the Department.
Ø Designing & preparing specifications for projects
Ø Compiling Operating & Maintenance Manuals for associated jobs.
Ø Manuals include the following, full detailed description of work carried out, details of equipment supplied and installed.
4.0 REPORTING
Ø Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer
Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification
Experience Required:4-5 years of work experience in an O&G or Pharmaceutical industry.
