Consultant for Development of Communication Materials for the UNICEF Disability office


UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultancy to develop Communication Strategy for the UNICEF Disability Section. 

Purpose:

Qualification:
• At least 15 years of proven experience in the field of disability and communications
• Advanced degree in communication or disability studies, social sciences, behavioural psychology and/or training or facilitation;
• Good knowledge of human rights, the human rights-based approach (HRBAP) and the UN's work in developing human rights-based programmes;
• Ideally, experience working with UNICEF in disability, particularly at the field level
• Strong understanding of the social model of disability, as well as UN and UNICEF approaches
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Advanced computer skills with proven ability to develop PowerPoint presentations for delivery on line via WebEx or other platform
