AKU-EB was established in 2003 and is a Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education established by Aga Khan University in response to a demand from schools for more appropriate school examinations. AKU-EB’s primary objective is to improve the quality of education by making examinations of a reputable standard more accessible to Pakistani students and having them increasingly valued by leading higher education institutions in and outside the country. Responsibilities |
The Director will be responsible for ensuring that an appropriate infrastructure is in place for the continuing expansion of the Examination Board (EB), and will manage the human, physical, and financial resources required. The activities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Requirements |
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Education, Psychology or Sociology with an emphasis on using large scale educational assessment, research and evaluation to promote advances in teaching and learning. Qualified individuals will be self-starters with the ability to design and manage multiple research and evaluation initiatives, summarize complex statistical information, work with sensitive data, pay attention to detail and exhibit integrity, discretion and grace under pressure. Insider knowledge of public examination practice will be an advantage as will experience of working in developing countries and appreciation of the socio-cultural dynamics of Pakistan society as they relate to education. |
