Fairfood International HR Administrator

HR Administrator
Department
The HR Department is responsible for translating management decisions and plans into HR policy and focuses on attracting, developing and retaining employees working for Fairfood, and their professional development and motivation. The department takes a pro-active role in the design, implementation and execution of HR activities. Our HR department is continuously developing, both operationally and policy-wise. It consists of one HR Manager and a team of 3 to 4 HR Specialists, who work within one or more specialties ranging from sourcing and coordinating coaching & training, targeted recruitment, research on international labor law & HR practices, revising HR policies and procedures, as well as performing HR operational and administrative tasks. The HR Manager supports and coaches the management team on HR-related issues.
Function
As an HR Administrator you will be (pro) active in coordinating and executing operational and administrative HR tasks. This includes providing administrative support for all staff, preparing contracts, posting vacancies, administrating and processing employee records, giving job interviews and exit interview and other (ad hoc) HR administrative tasks.
In this position, you will also be responsible for some financial administration work within HR.
Your competences
You are studying at or have graduated from a higher education institution (HBO) or university or have acquired an equivalent level of development through professional experience in the field of HR. You have financial skills and mathematical abilities and you have a strong aptitude and proficiency in MS Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. . You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You are able to take initiative and you are capable of working autonomously and as a part of a team. Obviously, you have an affinity with Fairfood’s objectives.
What do we offer?
This is an unpaid position suitable as an internship to obtain work experience both in this particular field and at an NGO. However we will reimburse your travel expenses and provide lunch for the days you work. We offer a versatile position within a young international organisation. You will have the freedom and opportunity to continue developing yourself and achieve tangible results. We value our employees and fully recognise that flexibility in working hours might be important for you. To create a beneficial relationship for both parties we prefer you to work for a minimum of 24 hours a week over a minimum of 3 months (preferably even longer, i.e. 6 months).
