Human Resource Management Technical Assistance to Social Marketing Organization – Kabul, Afghanistan – 20 input days In Afghanistan, Futures Group is implementing the Health Policy Project (HPP), a global, 5 year cooperative agreement funded by USAID.  The overall goal of HPP is to strengthen developing country national and sub-national policy, advocacy, and governance for strategic, equitable, and sustainable health programming. It also seeks to build the capacity of local organizations in order to enable them to become better partners with government in the delivery of high-quality health services through the private health sector. HPP is continuing to build the organizational capacity of Afghan Social Marketing Organization (ASMO), an independent national Afghan-owned and managed NGO, which took on the social marketing aspect of COMPRI-A as a subcontractor to the project (and now, as a subcontractor to HPP), so that it is ready as a prime contractor to receive direct funding from USAID.  A recent capacity assessment conducted by HPP found that key areas that need strengthening include some aspects of human resource management through the standardization of recruitment and promotion policies, and as well as organizational policies and processes related to staff development. We are hiring an experienced human resources management expert to support ASMO in improving its capacity in retaining employees with high performance standard; staff performance management and linking performance to rewards; review and revise the current promotion policy and ensure performance is linked to a reward and/or promotion system; staff’s past training efforts, staff internal capacity needs, and draft a plan to address such gaps. You will demonstrate: At least 10 years of work experience in human resource management, including providing trainings on relevant topics; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
