TKDA is a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and planning firm. This position will work with our senior engineers within the Facilities Engineering Division on the mechanical design for industrial, governmental and educational buildings (HVAC, plumbing, as well as code analysis). We are seeking an individual with good communications skills and the ability to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of design drawings, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
Perform engineering calculations using formulas, formal training and experience.
Prepare production drawings for HVAC and plumbing.
Write specifications, reports or opinions.
Review and provide documentation on existing conditions and field inspections.
Work at project sites to coordinate design and communicate any design issues with team members.
Work with team on the coordination of new systems and equipment into the existing facilities.
Work with senior engineers to meet our client’s expectations, direct the work of the firm’s representatives at the job site, and monitor contractor’s performance.
Assist with the local, state, and federal permitting jurisdictions.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
EIT registration
ASME B31.3 piping
AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to Travel
