Marketing Manager, Glion Institute of Higher Education, London


Reports to: Director General, GIHE London, plus "dotted line" report to the Senior Global Marketing Manager, Glion

Purpose
The Marketing Manager contributes in developing the short and long-term growth strategy for Glion London by way of marketing communications; develops and executes brand communication plans (B2C and B2B), and partners closely with the field marketing and enrolment teams to meet the desired business objectives (first point of contact for the field); routinely maps, analyzes, and reports on shifts in the student journey and broader student experience on/off campus.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Communications:
  • Develop the annual Glion London marketing plan aligned with the Glion London business objectives and the global Glion brand strategy.
  • Guardian of the Glion London brand across all communications and touch-points.
  • Coordination with all global enrolment regions to define business objectives for the brand.
  • Partner with Regional sales leadership and ECs on implementation of local marketing plans, ensuring executional consistency with the global vision.
  • Create compelling launch packages for new Glion London programs.
  • Solicit input from all relevant stakeholders in order to better build and drive program development.
  • Work with functional departments such as the Global Digital Marketing and PR to leads (based in Switzerland) and deliver successful integrated campaigns.
  • Partner across the corporate organization (sales, finance, operations) to align marketing plans to support campus enrolment targets.
  • Work closely with the campus organization (faculty, student services, CDIP) to drive campus initiatives and projects which impact on brand and communications.
  • Be the voice of the Glion London students
  • Drive rigorous measurement and learning discipline to define communication goals before, gather KPI data during, and provide results and learnings after each initiative.
Field Support:
  • Produce supporting materials related to marketing activities in local and international markets.
  • Assist with developing business opportunities including coordination of local field activities such as fairs, seminars, etc.
  • Localise marketing publications (such as flyers, ads, fact sheets, press releases and media kits) as well as coordinate their distribution.
  • Be the point of contact for all field requests and manage these appropriately to meet timings and requirements.
Design and Production:
  • Leverage existing communications as required for both print and online mediums.
  • Work with external agencies where required to produce best-in-class collateral items.
  • Work closely with aligned agencies and in house partners to deliver appropriate messaging, brand communication and media plans.
  • Support and coordinate creation, production, proofing and assembly of branded materials as required.
  • Organise focus groups where required (faculty, students, general staff) to test concepts and designs.
Communication:
  • Ensure that all parties (EMD, School Management, RADs, ECs, etc) are regularly informed of new collateral, events, updates, etc and that there is a good flow of communication between key stakeholders.
  • Work with, and has a dotted line, to the Senior Global Marketing Manager, Glion.
  • Work with the Senior Global Marketing Manager, Glion, on developing annual and long range marketing plans and associated communications calendars.
  • Assist the Global Marketing Manager, Glion, in adhoc projects, reports, analysis.
Education and Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience
  • 5+ years' minimum in marketing and communications.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Commercially oriented, well rounded, marketer with minimum 5+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in marketing communications (BTL and ATL) and in multiple countries.
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education drivers and environment
  • Proven track record in developing and executing communication plans and campaigns.
  • Experience in execution of both strategic media such as print, online, social media, search engine marketing, events, sponsorships and tactical initiatives such as promotions, field sales support material & tools.
  • Exceptional communications, presentation, interpersonal and team oriented skills. Fluent English.
  • Result oriented self-starter, energetic, ability to look at things through the lens of consumers, flexible, team player and ability to prioritize the dynamic day to day life.
  • Proven copywriting skills desirable.
