Development Coordinator


The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), is a private, non-profit national organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offers a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, and provides supportive services to patients and family members.

CCFA seeks a full-time, Development Coordinator who will be responsible for providing office administrative support and management of special events in the Greater Los Angeles Chapter located in Los Angeles, CA. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to management of Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis events, data entry, website maintenance, mailings to constituents, processing checks and credit cards and administrative support for meetings and events, as needed.


The role of the Development Coordinator will be as follows:

Manage an annual operational plan that includes detailed budget, team development, corporate development, volunteer development and logistic plans for the Take Steps walks
Identify, recruit and mobilize business and community leaders to serve as teams, volunteers and sponsors
Develop a marketing and promotional plan to enhance visibility and increase community awareness and participation in Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis
Create and maintain timelines, budgets and logistical needs for campaign events
Manage and assure the development of campaign materials required for the success and implementation of Take Steps events
Tracks income and expenses associated with Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis
Assist with preparation of newsletters, e-blasts, and web content, and marketing materials.
Perform periodic and required close-out functions as needed for chapter and regional staff
Provides staff support for volunteers, participants and committees required for the success of Take Steps
Office Data Management: Assisting in general office data entry/management of current constituents and processing of donations/sponsorships
Office Relationship Management: Manage and mail out CCFA related information, packets, and materials throughout the year
Assist in organizing campaign materials and event materials
Customer Service: Provide exemplary customer service to all patients, families and professionals with timely follow up on all requests for information and materials
Qualifications:

BA/BS degree
Hard-working and results oriented leader with strong organizational skills
Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running
Minimum 2 years event management experience; walk experience preferred
Significant skills in planning, budgeting, and volunteer development
Must have strong computer skills-MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new programs quickly
Engaging, persuasive personality with a strong desire to "delight" supporters
Extremely comfortable making phone calls with good communication skills
Strong Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
