Legal Monitoring Consultant


The Women's Initiatives for Gender Justice has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Legal Monitoring Consultant to work in our Legal Monitoring Programme.

Responsibilities: tracking and analysing judicial decisions of the International Criminal Court; writing summaries of decisions from a gender perspective; legal research; writing and editing other documents and publications as needed.

Qualifications: law degree; master's degree in international criminal law or related field strongly preferred; excellent legal writing and analytical skills; 2-3 years minimum experience in international law; expertise in international criminal law and familiarity with the International Criminal Court; expertise in women's rights strongly preferred; fluency in English required and fluency in French strongly preferred.

This is a part-time position for 2-3 days per week for a minimum of 6 months. The Part-Time Legal Monitoring Consultant will be part of the Legal Monitoring Team which is coordinated from our Hague office and will work closely with Legal Officers located in The Hague. However, it is not essential for this post to be based in The Hague.
