Position Summary
Drive the day-to-day management and development of business relationships with assigned strategic alliance partners in assigned APJ markets. Implement ROI approach to partnering efforts with a primary emphasis on revenue generation and field enablement that differentiates F5 in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Take over day-to-day management for defined aspects of existing strategic alliance partnerships in assigned APJ markets.
- Leverage F5 Corporate and existing field contacts in APJ to build Sales, Channels and Marketing relationships with assigned alliance partners.
- BDM needs to be able to secure and direct resources from other organizations within F5 including Product Management, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Channels and Business Development peers, particularly at HQ.
- Business Development Manager (BDM) needs to be able to form lasting relationship with key individuals within the assigned Partner’s organization including Alliance Management, Product Management, Marketing, Channels and Sales.
- The PRIME focus is sales growth associated with solutions related to assigned partner in assigned APJ markets.
- Ability to discuss and present at a detailed level the F5 product offerings and key competitive differentiators.
- Ability to be a subject matter expert, as it relates to relevant partner solutions and go-to-market strategies, for account planning being conducted by F5 Sales peers in assigned APJ markets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- At least 10 years’ experience in the computer industry
- More than 5 years successful business development or channel management experience.
- BA/BS Degree strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Application software technologies and supportive infrastructure.
- Strong ISV, Virtualization and/or Storage enterprise solution knowledge.
- Proven track record of past successful achievements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Seasoned with Internet technologies and the major Internet technology companies.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technology simply.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Ability to formalize partnerships with targeted strategic partnership prospects. The creation of integrated product offerings generated from those partnerships. Execution of a go-to-market plan with each of his/her key partners that result in incremental sales opportunities and revenue to F5.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
