Norwegian Church Aid is now seeking an Information Management officer to join the Global WASH Cluster Rapid Response Team. A key objective of the Global WASH Cluster is to strengthen WASH coordination mechanisms at the country level in order to respond effectively to humanitarian crises.
The position will be based in Geneva or Oslo under a stand-by arrangement with UNICEF. 60 % of the position includes field deployment supporting establishment of national WASH clusters in the early stages of an emergency response. The remaining time will be spent in division between UNICEF's office in Geneva and NCA's office in Oslo where key objectives will be advancing, supporting and building capacity in the prioritized areas of the Global WASH cluster strategy. The position is a two years engagement conditioned on confirmation of external funding.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide information management services to the WASH Cluster, e.g. data collection, collation, mapping, analysis and dissemination
Monitor and report on the emergency situation and alert cluster partners of trends and patterns as well as WASH cluster's performance
Develop standard information management procedures with partners and foster communication and coordination between all WASH stakeholders
Support cluster based capacity building for national and international staff, e.g. refinement of internal procedures and tools in accordance with global WASH cluster strategy
Functional and operational reporting to the Cluster Advocacy and Support Team (CAST), HR and administrative reporting to NCA office, Oslo

Knowledge of information management tools (such as GIS and web publishing)
Experience from humanitarian emergency response in diverse cultural and climatic settings is desirable
English fluency is required, other relevant languages are desirable
