RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the supervision, training and development of overnight child care staff.
- Develop overnight staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage nightly.
- Review all overnight incident/accident reports, information and fire drill reports, ensuring accuracy and follow-up on needed areas.
- Make rounds to each unit periodically throughout the shift to access the overall atmosphere of each unit, and to observe staff and residents' interactions. Address and resolve staff & residents' issues as needed.
- Responsible for O/N log, accurate head count, documenting any significant incidents, file missing person reports when applicable, notifying parents or guardians and completes student status sheets as needed, etc.
- Receive turnover information from the evening Campus Supervisor and nurse, sharing pertinent information with the incoming overnight staff; head counts, missing residents, significant incidents, rumors or potential problems that may occur to ensure a safe and secure overnight shift.
- Meet with administrators every morning to provide shift to shift turnover information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Degree: High School Diploma required. BA preferred.
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years child care experience with some supervisory exp.
- Attending TCI class/re-certification & pass physical & written test
- Valid & clean NYS Drivers License.
- Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Registy and Fingerprinting as required by the program.
