ROLE OUTLINE:
To deliver pre and post contract QS duties for a variety of diverse projects covering a multitude of project sizes. The envisaged delivery areas will be both private and public sector clients and the type of project will include:
Urban Expansion/Regeneration
Residential
Commercial
Education
Infrastructure
Defence
New Build and Refurbishment
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Respond to requests for information
Ensure that project information systems are kept up to date
Follow established policies, procedures and instruction
Undertakes projects under supervision
Responsible for technical information flow, correspondence, problems and queries
Proactively interprets and takes appropriate actions / decisions
Supports the day to day management of projects
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Ability to follow process and instruction and maintain records of information
Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Project
Good numeracy and literacy
Degree qualification preferred and additional technical skills required appropriate to the
role
Min. 2 years relevant practical experience
Working towards or attained Chartered status
Good communication skills
Lateral thinker
Experience of QS duties from cost planning through to agreement of final account
