1. Troubleshoot or perform necessary repairs to maintain the operation of equipment and systems in the areas of responsibilities such as process and packaging equipment, warehouse, electrical distribution, compressed air, steam, refrigeration, instrumentation, treated water and waste water treatment facilities.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and facilities according to PM schedules, general maintenance including welding, basic electric, plumbing and carpentry, fabricate and install parts when necessary, and document all repair or maintenance work done on any equipment using prepare reports as needed. Perform calibration of process equipment such as Tank Load cell, Floor scales and Fillers. Submit required reports and key performance results.
3. Install machinery and equipment as required.
4. Coordinate with various vendors and contractors to ensure smooth execution of all routine service contracts and equipment improvement projects.
5. Lead and develop improvement projects. Continuously seek opportunities to drive process and equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
6. Support Integrated Management Systems development and continuous improvement. Become familiar with and comply with all applicable standards such as (e.g. ISO 9000, ISO 14,000, OHSAS 18,000 ,ISO 22000 and KORE)
7. Act as custodian for all Plant Engineering tools, equipment, accessories and Engineering Stores. Monitor and evaluate materials and parts usage to optimize material ordering and inventory levels.
8. Initiate regular disposal of obsolete equipment and scrap Engineering materials.
Qualification Requirements:
- NTC or Diploma in Electrical / Mechatronic
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in food manufacturing company in similar positions
- Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to working with high and low voltage electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical theory and its application
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair procedures for various mechanical systems including plumbing, heating, irrigation, drainage and othersKnowledge of electrical and electronic system commonly found in public facilities, such as indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing devices
- Skill in planning, designing, organizing and executing electrical upgrade projects mandated by changing codes, regulations and safety requirements
- Operate a variety of electrical and electronic testing, metering and measuring devices, equipment and ability to operate a variety of maintenance related vehicles; power and hand tools; and equipment
