Investment Councillor Standard Chartered Bank - United Arab Emirates

The IC provides investment counseling to clients & to Relationship Managers/PFCs in the team to meet the client’s desired investment objectives and increase bank’s “share of client wallet”. The IC plays a key role in liaising with the product managers within the Product development team (IS, BA and FX) on an proactive basis to discuss client requirements as well as on a more frequent basis to ensure flow of product knowledge. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

Investment Counselling:
Determine client’s risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations by partnering with Relationship Managers in client meetings
Provision of relevant solutions given client needs/ objectives in line with the risk profile of the Customer.
Provide independent opinion on quality of client’s existing portfolio
Conduct daily morning meetings for the sales team to discuss market updates.
Product Support:
Interface between the Product Teams & the frontline.
Share the best practices/products available in the market with the Product Managers.
Provide product managers with ideas for products driven by client needs
Sales Support:
To support RMs by partnering them on joint calls to the customers
Identify cross-selling opportunities
Provide need based solutions for the customers 

Qualifications & Skills 

University Graduate, Professional Markets/Investments qualification.
Minimum 3 years experience in Banking/Finance.
Thorough knowledge of treasury & investment products.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
