Program Manager - Security McAfee - Riyadh


About the Role and Responsibilities
Location: Saudi Arabia or Dubai

About the Role:

Management and delivery of one or multiple projects to McAfee’s external customers in EMEA within our Professionals Services group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Development and maintenance of project plan, schedules, resources, and milestones
- Delivery of quality defined and agreed deliverables by the team.
- Delivery of the project within the scope defined, to budget and timescale.
- Maintenance of clear and concise documentation to support the project's auditability.
- Frequent, concise communications to senior management & external customers, relating to project progress and issues.
- Facilitates and chairs a project briefing sessions to ensure all parties are aware of all relevant information prior to the project commencing.
- Ensures that all resources joining the project after kick off are fully briefed, and know what is expected of them.
- Monitors, tracks, and is held accountable for projects timely progress, quality deliverables within budget, and quality assurance.
- Overall management of the deliverables for the team members.
- Initiates action to identify and resolve project problems/issues and on mitigating steps and actions taken to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality.
- Assigns tasks to team members; develops team behaviours and operating rules; mentors, guides, and empowers team members in planning and executing the work and in accordance with Professional Service’s policies and practices.
- Manage Risks with appropriate actions.
- Responsibility to assess and report frequently with the provided Risk Management Tools.
- Suggests risk mitigation strategies as needed.
- Responsible for change request negotiations and sign off.
- Appraises the work/deliverables of team members; identifies and provides for developmental needs of team; and takes corrective action when necessary.
- Gives feedback on each team member's performance to their Line Manager, on a regular basis, as well as at the end of a project via the appraisal system.
- Prepares a Post Project Review after each major phase or on completion of the project.
- Works collaboratively with other Managers and staff to develop project methodology, tools, and standards.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education

- Must have experience working in a Program Manager position with a proven ability to lead and deliver multiple projects at one time
- Experience managing security implementation projects
- Experience managing 3rd party channel & partner relationships
- Experience presenting/talking at ‘C’ level
- Prior experience working within professional services/consulting fields
- Ability to translate technical information into commercial terms for non-technical contacts
- Programme and project management of geographically distributed projects
- Understands market issues and trends affecting business and use of IT within various sectors
- Experience of working with remote teams in different time zones.
- Skilled in relationship development/management.
- Excellent presentation and written communications skills.
- Outstanding time management skill
- Experience in project budgeting.
- Skilled in the management of third party relationships.
- Experienced and skilled in conflict resolution.
- Must have a willingness for hands on project management.
- Qualification in project management preferably PMI’s PMP or PRINCE 2 Certification.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Project.
- Experience of contributing to and writing detailed and good quality documentation to support technical implementation work of multiple projects

Desirable:

- Fully conversant with Microsoft Project.
- CISSP, CISA or CISM
- COBIT
- ITIL
- PCI QSA
- Fluent in Arabic
