Senior Business Process Management (BPM) Specialist KAUST - Saudi Arabia


The Senior Business Performance Management specialist will work closely with process owners to identify improvement opportunities, create solutions to complex problems and implement solutions. Train internal customers at the green and black belt level of Lean Six Sigma Tools and methodologies. Exercises significant experience with project coaching and project management and is a comfortable negotiating conflicting objectives with senior management. Must have the flexibility to support other IT activities and projects across university, research and economic development.

Responsibilities include; to act as change agent to instill a Lean Six Sigma culture throughout the organization and to communicate the Lean Six Sigma methods benefits and limitations. Select and apply appropriate statistical tools to document process performance for specific business processes. Document and communicate benefits of projects. Influence process stakeholders, maintain an overview of all projects and where they are in the DMAIC process. Perform cost-benefit analyses to create a prioritized portfolio of process improvement projects, overseeing risks and issues management. Deliver Lean Six Sigma awareness sessions, train staff members on green and black belt level, develop education material as needed and assist in preparing and delivering workshops. Advice champions and lead belts in scoping projects, coach lead belts in negotiating with process stakeholders. Facilitate champions and lead belts in defining tactics to address change management issues.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business administration, information systems or other quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of process improvement projects, including proven facilitation skills
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Must be considered an authority on Lean Six Sigma
  • Detailed hands-on experience with six-sigma in a non-manufacturing environment
  • Experience in developing process metrics and using Minitab.
  • Familiarity with PMI or OCG methods, and ARIS process mapping tool is desirable.
