Sell into the Cloud Providers and eco-system of System Builders, Identifying and selling to critical participants in the delivery of cloud services with the key regional partners.
Person will need to define the accounts and sell hard drives and solutions to customers based on goals and quota set by the Cloud team Manager. In addition, applicant should be able to set up executive level engagements at the top accounts and develop a deep understanding of their business.
Collaborate with the team by providing clear and well defined feedback which represents the specific regional requirements of the customer set. Interface to the Global and Regional cloud team Manager, PLM and exec management on key trends, opportunities and emerging technologies
Applicant will be required to prioritize and work closely with customer/partners to target (CSP’s, ISV’s, CSB’s & telcos) in the regions to maximize success.
The definition of success metrics will be based on quota attainment and key sales objectives that reflect the delivery of Seagate technology (HDD’s, services & support) in the target base.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5-10 years of sales experience in device, system level sales, solution sales, integration and/or telco sectors.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies in a variety of OEM & ODM environments.
- Ability to work in a changing, fluid sales environment with potentially new business models inside an organization as well as the ability to influence decision makers at the highest levels within the customer set.
- Experience and knowledge of consultative selling and solution selling while developing “trusted advisor” type of relationships within the customer set.
- Experience cultivating new customers and building relationships at multiple levels, including the “C” level, at the customer organization.
- An understanding of the telecom business, broadband networks, VOIP, telephony would be preferred. Ability to uncover and analyze changing market needs, potential trends and an ability to execute on a comprehensive strategy in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment for products.
- Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with direct managers , peers, and upper management are prerequisites to success in this position
- Strong oral and written communication skills are a must for this position. The ability to interface internally and externally with all levels of management is also key to success in this position.
- Bachelors degree / Masters a plus.
