icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Field Research Supervisor (8 posts) with the Research Group of “Monitoring, Evaluation and Health Informatics” under the Centre for Child and Adolescent Health. The appointment will be made on a contractual services agreement basis for 11 months which may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds. Duty Station – Jaintapur of Sylhet District and Akhaura of Brahmanbaria District Salary – Tk.25, 412/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.   Job Profile: Assist in implementing the project activities at field sites on MCH-FP; Maintain liaison with GoB, NGOs and collaborating agencies; Collect qualitative data, prepare transcript and summarize qualitative data; Coordinate and organize meetings and trainings at field level; Assist the immediate supervisor in preparing reports. Requirements: Masters degree in Social Science; At least 2 years work experience in the field of MCH-FP;  Must have adequate knowledge on Bangladesh MCH-FP Programme; Good knowledge in field research work and able to plan and carry out field activities Skills in collecting qualitative and quantitative data; Skills in providing training, team building, supervising, counseling and motivating staff; Should be able to work in Microsoft Office application packages; Excellent interpersonal communication skills; Very good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla are essential; Should be ready to perform jobs in unpleasant work condition and ability to encounter pressure and stress; Willing to stay at CHU field sites mentioned above at Up-zilla level.
