Finance Manager


Accounting for International Development primarily source volunteer accountants for charities across Africa, Asis and South America but we do also handle a small number of paid roles.
Our partner is a well-known international children’s charity that operates all over the developing world.
They are looking for a Finance Manager to be based in London with 30% global travel. £36-40K.
This will be a management role that involves financial management capacity building, budgeting and reporting, statutory financial audits, IFRS conversion, and learning regional tax laws.
Candidate:
Essential • Degree or equivalent • Qualification from a recognised accounting institute • Demonstrable financial analysis and forecasting ability • Experienced in multi-currency accounting and reporting • Working knowledge of internal/external audit practises • Experienced in financial coaching • Working knowledge of various accounting software • Knowledge and/or experience of working for an NGO or international charity • Understanding of issues in international development
Desirable • Conversational French (speaking & reading) • Working knowledge of current charity accounting requirements and practise • Experience of working with institutions/trusts e.g. DfID, EU, Comic Relief etc • Experience of working with Quickbooks accounts package • Moderate (conversational) level in written French
