Assistant Development Officer
Providing administrative support to the Deputy Chief Development Officer for Events, the Assistant Development Officer also assists on administrative and logistical aspects of planning and executing 5 annual benefit events and support on 40 special events annually, as well as assisting with the administration of the Chairman's Council and Met Family Circle.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in coordination of Benefit Committees, letters of invitation and monitoring of responses
Assist in invitation list management and monitoring of responses
Assist in benefit ticket sales/income reporting, preparation of ticket mailing and acknowledgements, ticket sales reporting, and coordination of dinner calligraphy
Assist with servicing the Chairman's Council and Met Family Circle, including preparation of renewal letters and membership materials, tracking renewals, preparing monthly income reports and Annual Report lists

Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
Two years' related experience, including event planning, preferred
Must possess excellent organizational, writing and communications skills
Attention to detail essential
Outstanding ability to work well under pressure on a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment mandatory
Due to significant donor contact, ability to work well with others and with top level donors is essential
Knowledge and Education:
BA required
Computer literacy and knowledge of data management software (MS Word, Excel, MS Access) required and general office skills essential
