JOB TITLE: Assistant Procurement Operations Manager (Indirects Procurement)

JOB LOCATION: Singapore

RELOCATION TERMS: Local Terms only

Background:

  • Marketing materials & services, Workplace, HR & Travel, IT, Professional and Outsourcing services

  • Unilever Entities to support: Unilever Asia Pte Ltd and Unilever Singapore Pte Ltd


  • Main Job Purpose:

    • Act as champion & change leader in the Indirects Procurement Ariba NO PO NO PAY program

    • Conduct 7-steps sourcing, evaluate supply market, conduct bidding, reverse auction, negotiation with suppliers, manage supplier relationship for purchase value between EURO 10K to 100K.

    • Negotiate payment terms and e-invoicing with suppliers

    • Manage day to day procurement operations – PO approval, Ariba catalogs creation, vendor master approval

    • Contract Management and uploading of Contracts in Ariba Workbench

    • Post-contract management - Supplier performance evaluation, manage disputes e.g. late payment interest

    • Implement vendor accreditation process in line with USQS & Responsible sourcing process

    • Ensure local alignment with global/regional buying strategies & processes

    • Actively drive PO and Procurement Sourcing policy compliance within the country on an ongoing basis

    • Coordinate user training/ refreshers on Ariba to ensure effective & successful change management


    • Key Accountabilities:

      • Drive transformation to take over functional managed spend from stakeholders

      • Resolve Ariba operations related problems e.g. timely GRN to ensure timely payments to suppliers

      • Conflict resolution with suppliers for e.g related to poor performance by supplier

      • Implement new ways of working through procurement framework & No PO No Pay policy

      • Implement commodity strategy for marketing materials like POSM, Premiums & Gifts & BTL

      • Implement hands-free purchasing system to bring about speed & simplicity for procurement operations

      • Work with Stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, HR, IT, Enterprise Support etc at different WLs 1-3

      • Work with portfolio procurement colleagues to share & compare

      • Engage with suppliers & agencies


      • Skills/Experience:

        • Candidate must have minimum a Diploma from a reputable polytechnic.

        • Need minimum 6 years of procurement experience with at least 2 years in Indirects Procurement

        • Fluent in English – speaking & writing
