JOB LOCATION: Singapore
BACKGROUND:
The position of Procurement Manager – Contact Flexibles, is based in Singapore, with primary responsibility of sourcing entire Contact Flexibles packaging material for the SEAA cluster countries, viz., Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. and business partnering SEAA cluster deliverables on Growth, Innovation, Value, Capacity & Capability and Sustainability. The portfolio spend is circa 200MM Euro with high growth rates.
This role draws up the blue print for the SEAA cluster Strategy for Flexibles procurement, aligned with global Flexibles Procurement strategy and execute the strategy working closely with the country Procurement Operations team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Draw up short term and Long term Procurement Strategy for Contact Flexibles for countries in the SEAA cluster, fully aligned with the cluster Supply Chain strategy & partner to win agenda.
- Influences stake holders (Procurement Operations team, Planning team, R&D packaging team) on the strategy and executes the strategy with speed.
- Work as team with the broader global flexibles team located across the globe to deliver global agenda
- Understand cost drivers, do competitive benchmarking and constantly work to improve value delivery to the organization.
- Understand the Capacity & Capability requirements and put actions in place to meet the 8 quarter requirements and send a periodic update to stake holders.
- Work closely with the cluster Procurement Operations team to ensure Quality & Service levels delivery by the suppliers are meeting to Unilever expectations.
- Will be the single point of contact to all the people for anything related to Contact Flexible portfolio for the SEAA cluster.
- Co create the Feedstock Procurement Agenda with the FS team the drive to implement the same in the cluster.
- Deliver annual targets for Cost & Cash - Value Improvement Plans, Action Driven Buying Results, Payment Term Extensions, Net Inflation reduction actions.
- Do monthly forecasting and manage inflation mitigation for contact Flexibles materials for the cluster countries.
- Work closely with the R&D teams to drive big global projects and to get new materials/supplier on board.
- Actively pursue Sustainability deliverables in line with Unilever Sustainable Living Plan.
- Work to ensure supplier compliance for Quality & Responsible sourcing.
- Work closely with the partner to win suppliers and successfully land the Joint business Plans for the cluster.
- Work closely with the Feedstock team to drive Unilever Feedstock deliverables for the cluster.
- Drive Complexity reduction and harmonization.
- Lead, Coach & Manage two direct reports
- Engineering/Technology / Commerce graduate preferably with post graduate qualification in business administration.
- Relevant experience in the FMCG/Health care industry preferred.
- Strong techno commercial background with strong understanding of the Packaging industry, cost drivers, innovations in the industry.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, Influencing skills and stakeholder management skills.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in a regional/global environment, with at least 2-3 years in Flexibles Packaging materials.
