MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

  • Plays a key, supporting role to the Global Brand Development Director to bring the Brand Key Vision and Brand Vision Plan to life.

  • Delivers the project/s financial and share targets in the region.




  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Develops an in-depth understanding and become an expert in Global markets – the business environment in which the brands compete including category segments and channels.

    • Builds a holistic understanding of consumers and shoppers, together with Consumer Market Insights, in developing consumer and shopper insights and turn these in to growth opportunities.

    • Leads Global innovation projects against agreed category and brand global priorities (BVP). Develops consumer relevant concepts based on consumer and shopper insights to develop, explore and evaluate ideas with consumers.

    • Leads and champions the brand communication, creative development process (advertising and packaging), working with agencies to deliver strategically sound messages in line with communication strategy.

    • Develops an integrated product, pack, price and communication mix and trade proposition for mix test/simulated test markets to test market potential in key countries.

    • Leads cross-functional innovation teams (using IPM tools to support decision making and communication) including local Brand Building teams, supply chain and customer and category development to ensure successful implementation.




    • SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

      • At least 6 years experience in Brand Development and Brand Building

      • Developing concepts and brand communication

      • Proven record in project management preferably at global/regional level

      • Proven track record of strong business, analytical and organisational skills

      • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver through relationships at all levels of the organisation

      • Clear thinking; concise communications; ability to deal with high level of complexity and fast pace

      • An appetite for challenge, with a hard working, tenacious attitude, ability to multi-task and prioritize.

      • Passion for working in a category that is fast moving, competitive and leading change

      • Strong instincts for our consumer, their hair care needs and the art and science of brand development.
