Solutions Architect Verizon - Japan


Job Description

-To help, advise and guide Verizon Enterprise Solutions clients in selection of appropriate solutions to match identified business needs and to provide technical information/support to Sales Account Managers in the achievement of Global revenue objectives.

-Develop achievable presale plans for their assigned accounts in accordance with business unit sales goals. They identify opportunities for more effective technical pre-sales support to their sales team. They work with their Account Managers to develop and recommend solutions that meet their customer's business requirements. They take joint ownership of assigned accounts and lead technical account planning and management for their customer s local, regional and global solution roadmap.

-Communicates with clients about emerging technologies, and develop an understanding of clients business needs. Develops strategies with customers to anticipate and address long-term business needs. Anticipates the customers needs and identifies appropriate alternatives. Called upon to provide technical information for difficult, sensitive or critically important accounts. Influences customers and diffuses potential problems.

-Identify sales opportunities/solutions and positively contribute to account planning.
Communicate effectively with other "virtual team" members to ensure swift resolution of problems and assist in the development of Solutions Architecutre/Sales/Support teams via training and coaching.

-Provide input for proposals/RFPs/RFIs/ITTs by producing responses, etc to Technical Sections against Verizon standard/ non standard deliverables and required technical oriented descriptions, thereby demonstrating how client business goals can be met.

-Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of both the communications industry and Verizon systems, procedures, networks, products and services to enable effective client communications.

-Provide accurate account information/reports to Solutions Architecture / Sales management on a regular basis.

-May have accountability for leading or directing work or projects of organizational personnel; generally provides guidance and/or training to others.

-Acts independently and exercises independent judgment and discretion within generally defined practices and policies to select appropriate methods or techniques for obtaining solutions. May act as adviser to team members with day to day operations. Work is varied and requires frequent interpretation. Typically resolves complex problems which requires deviation from standardized practices or precedent.

Desired Skills & Experience

-Broad range of skills within a professional discipline to effectively perform complex assignments; demands familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices

-Generally requires a BS degree and 3+ years experience in a related discipline.

-Requires a high-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork and mentoring skills and customer presentation experience is required.

-Languages skills in business Japanese, with strong and proven written and verbal English skills are a minimum qualification.

-Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

-Demonstrates a balance of technical knowledge, strategic capabilities, career experiences and competencies.

-Practices and delivers values-based behaviors, attitudes, and results.
