The Power Sources Centre in HMGCC is an exciting, innovative centre of development that is creating new power technology to take us into the future. We are already established as a leading provider of practical deployable power sources to meet the ever changing demands of protecting vital national information and now we are entering a new stage in research and development to create cutting edge power sources.
We are looking for dynamic Electrochemists to be part of a team involved in researching and developing batteries and fuel cells from initial design through a complete life cycle to final disposal. You will undertake systems design, complete evaluations, test new products and provide technical advice to our users. You will be an innovative engineer with an understanding of the various different battery chemistries and their power management technologies, along with energy harvesting techniques and battery test methods.
