Staff Electrical Engineer Fluidigm Corporation - Singapore


Job Description

- Design and develop biomedical instrument from conceptual phase to product launch.
- Support sustaining activities to exceed customer expectation and customer experience.
- Develop sub-system requirement of new product by working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Support cross-functional teams in feasibility testing and design verification test plan.
- Take charge of overall electrical system design, including AC-DC power supply module and distribution, analogue/digital circuit design, electrical schematic, PCBA layout design and firmware development.
- Manage and drive EMC and safety regulatory testing and certification.

Desired Skills & Experience

- Degree in electrical or equivalent with 12 years of experiences in instrument/equipment design and development.
- Strong analytical skill and handson skill on instrument or equipment design.
- Familiar with product life cycle through phase gate development process.
- Experience in Instrument or Equipment design involving hardware, firmware and software.
- Experience in design of near field wireless devices like RFID will be advantageous.
- Familiar with quality system and its implementation in design and manufacturing, like ISO9001 or ISO13485.
- Familiar with PCBA vendor’s capability and availability in the region that can support high-mix low volume production.
- Participate in vendor selection process and qualification.
- Interact and work closely with the R&D team in US.
