EHS Engineer Johnson Controls - Singapore


Johnson Controls Singapore has an opportunity for individuals who are keen to make a difference in EHS and excel in a fast-pace and challenging environment. The incumbant will be given autonomy to set up, enhance and execute key EHS programmes and work closely with Asia EHS team to implement Asia and Global EHS programmes and share best practices.

The incumbant will be expected to:
  1. Implement the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System to ensure correct standard is provided to all employees in alignment to JCI EHS philosophy.
  2. Implement Corporate and Global EHS Policies, Procedures and Objectives in the country.  
  3. Supports Crisis & Risk Management.
  4. Supports Country Management Team to improve EHS management systems, processes and practices.
  5. Monitors and measures compliance with legal standards and establish effective follow up procedures to ensure any risks/deficits are addressed. 
  6. Supports Asia EHS programmes.
  7. Execute ISO programmes, certification and audits.
  8. Work closely with facilities manager to ensure safety and comfortable work environment for employees

Desired Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals who are aligned with Johnson Controls core values, a good team player and one who exhibit passion in his/her work area.
  1. Degree or Diploma graduate with 1-5 years related experience and or a combination of experience and education. Preferably with Mechanical & Electrical education and industry experience.
  2. Preferably with experience with ISO14001, ISO9001, OHSAS 18001, bizSAFE, ISO 22301
  3. Possesses a formal EHS qualification recognised by the local authorities
  4. Ability to articulate, influence and write well in English and preferably able to converse in mandarin
  5. Meticulous and give attention to details
  6. Works well with others and a good team player
  7. Ability to fit in a fast-pace environment and enjoys challenging role
