The Brooke

The Brooke is an international animal welfare organisation dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in the poorest parts of the world. We provide veterinary treatment and community programmes across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Last year, we reached more than 1,100,000 working horses, donkeys and mules benefiting more than five million people.

The Brooke’s goal is to increase the number of working animals we help to two million a year by 2016.

The Role

The Brooke is an international animal welfare organisation dedicated to improving the lives of working equines is looking for a digital marketing specialist to manage the delivery of a number of digital pilot tests and be the expert in online marketing technology platforms at the Brooke.

In this exciting role you will develop and deliver solutions for a variety of on-line projects ranging from websites to social media to community engagement and be responsible for project scoping, functional specification, usability and project management throughout the projects lifecycles.

Criteria

Very much a hands-on technical role you will need to have a strong technical background and proven experience of working in a web platform role, involving the use of content management systems, e-commerce platforms, email communications tools and SMS marketing.

Knowledge of the following web development languages: XHTML, CSS, Javascript, CGI Net development (ASP.NET, C#) and SQL (Transact) is also a prerequisite, as is experience of managing the full life-cycle of a website build.

The successful candidate will also have experience of integrating with Payment Gateways, functionality on a multitude of platforms and a good knowledge and understanding of user experience and design user-testing in digital environments.
