Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst located in Makati City, Philippines through October 15, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details:Infrastructure Assets (IA) is responsible for managing Chevron’s global infrastructure assets including data centers, networks, GIL, messaging and meeting tools such as email and AT&T Connect. The division provides infrastructure operations and support, maintains the infrastructure asset portfolio and manages infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Provides work direction to analysts responsible for infrastructure monitoring of ITC-managed assets on 24x7 basis. Identifies and documents issues according to pre-described service or operational level agreements. Provides basic resolution or escalates as appropriate following LEAN IT work flow process and guidelines. Primarily responsible for console monitoring, basic resolution, escalation and execution of predefined check list analysis for performance, security and availability across ITC Managed servers, storage and network assets worldwide. 

Provides monitoring services for an enterprise wide customer base including, e-business Solutions (ERPCOE), GiL, Messaging, ASD and Tandem. Provides responsive resolution or escalation of alerts for all high availability servers identified as critical. Responsible for tracking alerts through to resolution and clearing alerts. 
Leads team in the review, response, and clearing of alerts. This may include addressing incident management with shared accountability with the Global Service Desk for ticket creation, dispatch and management. Team activities will include handling incidents which can be solved through documented procedures and escalation to appropriate Rhythm team as necessary. 

Leads team in implementing Lean IT principles including continuous improvement approach in working with other IA teams to maintain and refine ticket routing and identify process improvements. May engage in Rhythm activities, as capacity allows, managing work load balancing and improving immediate functional efficiency. 
Leads shift management of work group: works closely with Monitoring Supervisor to understand team direction and provides input into the PMP planning and review sessions. Sets clear expectations for individual team members; provides feedback using input from customers, management, team leads, and technologists; and supports Learning Action Plans. Develops people: provides opportunities for training and development, delegates effectively, rewards educated risk taking, coaches employees, and reinforces role model behaviors


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or other related courses 
• 1-3 years of experience in supervising teams supporting IT infrastructure components e.g., UNIX/Network/Windows
• Project management experience and good technical aptitude
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
• Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
• Works on a shifting schedule for a 24x7 operations.
