Trento RISE – Research, Education & Innovation System (www.trentorise.eu) is a single organizational body that connects several of the major actors in ICT research, education and business in the Trento region, including FBK (Bruno Kessler Foundation) and the University of Trento. Trento RISE aims at promoting research to drive the internationalization and innovation of the territory and at becoming one of the leading hubs in the ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) sector in Europe. Trento RISE is a core partner of the EIT ICT Labs (http://eit.ictlabs.eu/) KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community).
The profile under consideration will be working in the context of the Research Area of Trento RISE, whose main goals are to: i) Coordinate the Trento RISE research system and its participation in the technical/scientific activities of the EIT ICT Labs (e.g. Action Lines); ii) Leverage on local/national/European programmes in order to co-finance and enhance the impact of the Trento RISE research and innovation activities; iii) Develop a common EU strategy and joint initiatives with the Trento RISE partners, including contributions to relevant EU policies.

Main tasks/responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of project proposals, especially in the context of EU funding schemes (e.g. FP7), contributing to:
- Write the project management/implementation sections;
- Edit/revise the impact sections;
- Review the scientific/technical sections. - Promoting the mobility of researchers, especially through Marie Curie Actions instruments;
- Contributing to attract top talents through ERC (European Research Council) grants;
- Contribution to the strategic positioning of Trento RISE at a local, national and European level by attending relevant events (e.g. Workshops), giving presentations and networking activities;
- Representing and promoting Trento RISE in the context of major European public/private initiatives (e.g. EIT/ETPs/JTIs/Future Internet);
- Liaison with National Contact Point (APRE) and the MIUR on behalf of Trento RISE;
- Representing Trento RISE at relevant international events (e.g. Information Days, Brokerage events).
Requirements/skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor or Master degree in scientific, political or economic disciplines;
- Competence or understanding of the ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) sector is considered as a plus. - Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a demonstrated track record regarding fund-raising and proposal writing activities;
- Familiarity with main EU institutions (e.g. EIT, ERC, European Commission) and other international funding agencies;
- Direct ‘hands-on’experience’ regarding main European funding schemes (e.g. FP7), with special emphasis on Marie Curie actions and ERC;
- Some international working experiences, preferably in Brussels, would be appreciated;
- Experience as project evaluator (for instance in the context of FP7) is a plus. - Technical skills:
- Excellent technical writing skills;
- Good command of quality control processes. - Organizational skills:
- Project management skills;
- Record of successful working relationships with internal/external collaborators and funding agencies;
- Proactive attitude, autonomous thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Results-orientation, respecting deadlines, and attention to details;
- Prioritization, time management skills and capability to adapt to dynamic environments;
- Meetings/events organization (e.g. seminars, workshops). - Social/inter-personal skills:
- Very good communication skills (both verbal and written);
- Constructive aptitude, team spirit and transparent working style. - Languages:
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken/written) is essential;
- Good knowledge of the Italian language is considered as a plus. - IT: High computer literacy with knowledge of main Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases software;
- Travels: Availability to travel quite extensively (up to 25%) within Italy and Europe.
