The successful incumbent’s duties would include but not be limited to providing leadership for the Electrical andInstrumentation and Engineering department to ensure plant uptime is in line with best practices and thatsubordinates are trained, developed and motivated to optimize performance.
Requirements:
  • Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
  • National Diploma in Electrical Instrumentation or BSC Engineering 
  • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)  Mines and Works is essential
  • 5 -8 years experience in electrical and instrumentation equipment in an industrial plant and exposure toMechanical Engineering            
  • 3 years underground coal mining experience
  • GCC Mines and Works is essential
  • Preferable foreman level
  • Exposure to underground machines and equipment (e.g.) shuttle cars, roof bolters.
  • Exposure to electrical reticulation of the mine including 22 KVA
  • Underground, maintenance of transformers and machinery
The candidate must reside in the Piet Retief or surrounding area.
