The purpose of the Financial Controller will be to manage the role finance has in the company as gate keeper andprotector of the company’s assets. Support the Financial Manager and assist in business processes to ensure thesmooth operation of the financial and commercial department. To liaise closely with other managers, internal andexternal.

Requirements:

• B-Com (Accounting) with articles is essential

Job Objectives:         

• Working capital management
• Internal control - financial procedures and systems - continuous improvement
• Quarterly self-testing-Internal Audit procedure
• Month end preparation reporting on HFM management report system
• Assist in preparation of financial schedules for board pack for listed company
• Review monthly balance sheet recons
• General assistance and support with all financial functions
• Review all returns to external parties e.g. Tax, VAT, statistical, Reserve bank
• Prepare insurance questionnaires for annual renewal
• Assist in planning and executing of stock counts with barcoding system - maintenance of the Syspro
• Assist in budget preparation
• Total control of management of time keeping system
• Review of creditor’s files and recons before release for payment
• Any other assistance regarding financial duties as required by senior management team
