THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Asset Integrity Engineer/Technologist will be part of a Calgary based team responsible for ongoing development and implementation of our Pipeline and Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Programs within CNRL's Western Canadian Operations.
Our team of Asset Integrity Engineers implements a wide variety of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management technologies to ensure that our Asset Integrity Programs are executed with optimal effectiveness. These roles interface closely with Safety, Engineering, and Operations groups, and gain exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity for pipelines, pressure equipment, tanks, and structural components. The chance to deal with a wide variety of assets for the full life-cycle from design and commissioning through to close-down and decommissioning means that you will be able to utilize and develop your expertise across a broad range of processes, workflows and technologies. There is also the opportunity for real career development and to take ownership and responsibility for your own production area.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• Work with the Chief Inspector and the Integrity Lead to implement all aspects of CNRL's Pressure Equipment Integrity Management System within assigned production business units
• Work together with Field Operations, Field Integrity, Engineering, and Safety Groups to manage and optimize corrosion mitigation, monitoring, and inspection programs
• Conduct risk-assessments and corrosion evaluations of upstream pipeline gathering systems and production facilities and develop and implement technical recommendations for Asset Integrity management
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, Asset Integrity vendors, engineering contractors, and inspection contractors to manage integrity related issues
• Support the development and maintenance of Integrity Management Program Databases
• Work with other Asset Integrity team members to develop and support the company Asset Integrity Program
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with B.Sc. in Engineering or a background in upstream Production Operations/Maintenance
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Working in a field based asset integrity role
- Relevant regulations, codes, and standards
- Pressure vessel, pipeline and storage tank integrity management
- Spreadsheet and engineering software applications
**This is a Calgary based position with regular travel to field locations in Northeastern Alberta required.
