Marketing Manager at La Trobe University


  • Opportunity to utilise your marketing expertise to promote Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Full time continuing employment, HE08 level position ($79,947- $91,834p.a.) +17% superannuation, based in Melbourne (Bundoora) campus
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The position
As a Faculty Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the University's Marketing and Engagement team to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate marketing and recruitment planning for the Faculty across the campus network to ensure targeted Faculty growth plans are implemented, and to participate in the strategic development of the Faculty. You will implement marketing projects and advertising campaigns to assist the Faculty to meet its recruitment and enrolment targets and manage promotional marketing publications, activities and Faculty-based events You will also liaise and work with various relevant internal areas dealing with marketing and recruitment related issues to coordinate input into media and public relations, advertising, and market research.
The candidate
To succeed, you will possess:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification  in marketing, public relations or communications (or equivalent)
  • Successful track record in strategic marketing planning and the ability to think creatively and generate new and fresh ideas, and marketing angles in the development and implementation of marketing and communications programs
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a matrix management model to deal with complexity, ambiguity and change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build productive working relationships with internal and  external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a small team to achieve the University's goals
  • A high degree of initiative, flexibility to prioritise workload and current driver's licence  to travelling within Victoria will be required
  • Knowledge and experience working within higher education sector and event management are highly desirable.
