Yoh has a nine (9) month contract opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our client in Portland, OR.
Job Responsibilities:
- Structural Engineer will provide architectural and technical guidance to sustaining facility teams to maintain and improve factory operations.
- Participate in reviews of design, construction and operations for compliance with safety, code, and customer standards, as well as value engineering opportunities.
- Structural Engineer will act as system owner for select architectural systems; maintain system documentation and oversee development of new strategies to meet customer needs.
- Will also interface with local jurisdiction regarding code issues and comments on ongoing projects and collaborate with site facility team, suppliers, and key stakeholders as an integrated team.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Architecture or Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience working in an architecture or consulting firm.
- Extensive knowledge of the IBC and other national standards.
Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
- Experience in the design of industrial facilities is desirable.
