Insurance Europe is the European insurance and reinsurance federation. Through its 34 member bodies — the national insurance associations — Insurance Europe represents all types of insurance and reinsurance undertakings, eg pan-European companies, monoliners, mutuals and SMEs. Insurance Europe, which is based in Brussels, represents undertakings that account for around 95% of total European premium income.

Information Officer (policy advisor, information and documentation)
Function
Reporting to the head of communications, you will be responsible for:
- managing and developing Insurance Europe’s web content and that of the Global Federation of
- Insurance Associations (GFIA)
- preparing and distributing a daily press review
- managing accesses to Insurance Europe’s extranet
- training staff and association members on the use of the extranet
- managing the documentation centre
- developing and maintaining internal databases and information resources
- researching information requests
- managing magazine and newspaper subscriptions
Profile
- qualification in and experience of document management
- experience of website content management
- advanced knowledge of data management packages, online research tools, web content management
- systems and MS Office
- fluent English, good knowledge of French and German, other languages an advantage
- exceptional organisation and communication skills
- self-starter, able to work autonomously but also as part of a busy team
- knowledge of insurance and/or financial services an advantage
