The role
Reporting to the Manager Mining Geotechnical, the Geotechnical Engineer will undertake routine professional tasks and phases of broader assignments such as the management of operational issues and risk management strategies. This work will be undertaken as part of a team under the guidance of higher-level professionals as to method of approach and reviewed for validity, and adequacy, but with some individual professional judgement to ensure delivery on time and on budget, while meeting Coffey’s exacting quality standards.

The person
To be successful in this position, you will hold an accredited degree in Geology/geotechnical engineering or engineering geology and demonstrate strong technical knowledge gained through a minimum of 4 years employment in the sector.
You will display outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a motivated and goal-oriented approach. An excellent level of ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships utilising your high level communication skills are further key requirements.
A willingness to work in the field and travel within the region and a strong drive to develop geotechnical skills, learning from team members is also essential to your success.
