The role
Reporting to the SAR Team Leader, the main objective of Environmental Scientist will be to contribute their knowledge to both Site Assessment and Remediation projects to ensure technical excellence and to be involved in undertaking field work, management of projects and preparation of environmental reports, proposals and other documentation.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Contribute to projects by undertaking searches, interpretation of data and reporting within Environmental Site Investigations including Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports, Groundwater Monitoring Events (GME), Waste Classification, Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) and Remediation and Validation Reports
  • Supervise and manage smaller / medium size projects and proposals on contaminated site assessment and remediation with no supervision
  • Liaise with clients, sub-consultants and stakeholders and provide value, added advice and service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your work
The person
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or related discipline and will have demonstrated experience in site assessment and remediation combined with consulting in contaminated land issues. A combination of high level verbal and written communication skills, the ability to problem solve, and enthusiasm for innovative and practical solutions will ensure your success in this role.
