Founded in 1753, the British Museum's remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history. Visitors can travel the world and experience the collections from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and the ancient world, including iconic objects such as the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures, the Lewis Chessmen and Egyptian mummies.
The British Museum is looking for a Project Curator to work on an international project to curate exhibitions on calligraphy and Middle Eastern contemporary art and advise on the curation of an exhibition on Saudi Arabian Culture. You will be supporting a Lead Curator of these exhibitions and working closely with colleagues in Saudi Arabia.
With a Degree or equivalent qualification, you will have research and drafting skills, along with experience of gallery or exhibition work. You will be well organised and be able to work as a member of a team and in addition you will have a tactful and diplomatic approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
