Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of Solutions for Public Safety such as Mission-Critical Data solutions (LTE, Wireless Broadband, Networking), Video, and Public Safety’s associated IT/Software solutions (CAD systems, AVLS) and Two-Way Radio
- Work closely with Sales & Vertical Market team to develop, drive and work on sales opportunities by providing technical expertise in the respective field
- Active involvement in the pre-sales phases (including projects review, RFI, Proof of Concept, RFP/tender) to promote our solutions leadership
- Act as technical consultant. Evaluate systems and technology requirements and advising customers on best-practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs.
- Be the industry spoke person in communicating the market and/or unique requirements to the internal organization
- Create awareness and promote Motorola’s solutions / technological leadership by participating in related industry seminars/conferences (as a speaker or papers) as well as customer’s seminar and presentation
- Work closely with internal team (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Global Solutions, etc) to asses customer requirement, identify suitable solutions, develop design solutions and present thought leadership messaging to the market place
- Lead Proof of Concept / demonstration of proposed solutions to customers/partners
- Pioneer the adoption of new solutions into the APAC region. Educate and train the Go-To-Market team (sales and partners) on the new solutions/products
Desired Skills & Experience
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- 5+ years working experience of successful solutions offering and business experiences in customer facing roles and organizations. Demonstrate customer engagement and project management experiences. Experiences as System Integrator would a plus
-Industry domain exposure in Public Safety or Government. Sounds knowledge of public safety environment (e.g. police operations, applications, etc)
- Strong engineering / technical background. Working knowledge on Wireless Broadband, LTE, Video, Networking and/or solutions would be a plus
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative and team player. Ability to work independently and maintain accountability to management. Passion for the tasks and the business
- Comfortable to present and discuss solutions at all levels (from C-level to technical working level) in the customers / partners organization
- Sounds Project Management skills. Ability to influence others at all levels that are not under direct control
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent or demonstration of equivalent experiences. Major in Computer/IT/Electrical would be a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Demonstrate ability to explain complex ideas and solutions in layman terms
- Willing to travel extensively around the region
