Director of Administration and Finance Opportunity


PlaNet Finance is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the development of microfinance through the provision of technical assistance and consulting services to the microfinance and banking sector. PlaNet Finance develops and animates networks of MFIs, experts and local actors in order to support the development of men and women professional projects.
Background
PlaNet Finance China (PFC) is the representative office in Beijing of the international NGO, PlaNet Finance. PFC is dedicated to poverty alleviation through the development of the Chinese microfinance industry. It provides technical assistance and consulting services to the microfinance and banking sector and engages in Microfinance Plus projects with a focus on issues such as rural development, healthcare, renewable energy, and job training.
About the Job: 
PFC is looking for a Director of Administration and Finance to manage the budgeting and finances (CFO duties) as well as the administrations of the PlaNet Finance China representative office.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Monitor the budget and finances of the office and projects;
  • Create reports of project and office budgets for reporting to HQ, project managers, and the executive director on a monthly and as-needed basis;
  • Manage transfers between China office and headquarters in Paris;
  • Manage volunteer team, assist executive director with general office management and administration;
  • Supervise administration staff;
  • Opportunities to work on microfinance projects, including as part of the consulting team, providing technical assistance and advisory services to banks and MFIs.
Qualifications: 
  • Excellent financial management and planning skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Self-starter, ability to work in a multi-cultural, dynamic, fast-changing environment;
  • Motivated to learn more about the China microfinance market; previous knowledge on microfinance a plus;
  • High proficiencey of both oral and written English and Chinese;
  • Long-term commitment to poverty alleviation and China’s development.
