The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) is the regulator for Britain’s gas and electricity industries.  Its role is to protect consumers and enable them to secure value for money and benefit from reliable supplies. It is an innovative and vibrant organisation, recognised both nationally and internationally for delivering intellectual credibility and professionalism to the markets it serves.
The Partner for Transmission will be a key member of Ofgem’s Smarter Grids and Governance division, reporting to the Senior Partner. You will work on strategy and policy development across the organisation, contributing to Ofgem’s leadership on a broad range of issues affecting the future of UK energy generation, delivery and consumption.
Candidates will bring expertise from the public or private sector in policy development, strong analytical skills and a track record of managing major projects.  The ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders will be essential, as will proven team leadership. You will also be able to demonstrate highly-developed communication and influencing skills. Experience of utilities or the energy sector is desirable but not essential.
